Quest: Fire Moths 1
Todd had left the bar, and had run toward the main gates to Libero City, barking words at the Guards, they all backed out of his way letting him out. Running to the tree line, he saw the faint orange glow in the trees, and the thick heavy smoke of fire rising up, " Really? What in Obad-hai, how could these little things cause so much trouble?! " Running in to the tree line, he ran pretty far back, dodging and weaving through the trees.
" Hang on, Ophelia! " Running in the first bit of fire, he held his hands out, " Come on nature, work with me! " As he said this, he started to swing his arms, almost like he was overhand swimming, but finished it with a punching action. After about 30 seconds of this, one would hear, and see, the rushing water running through the trees, almost like it was a flash flood, it ran forward, rushing through the Druid, up to his knees, before the moving water went up each tree, climbing it. This only put out about ten of the huge redwood like trees, before Todd pretty much collapsed on his knees. Panting heavily, the water fell from the trees, and returned to the river it came from, like it was alive and knew how to find its way home, " There's too many, I need to think of a different way... "

Emberstorm and Mara chased after Todd into the forest. Leaping over fallen trees and ducking under low branches. Ember ran along with feline grace despite hir double body. Mara had the same fluid movements and agility as any elf yet she was falling behind. Her body was draining but she pushed on, no one would notice she was slowly exhausting herself. When the two caught up to Todd the water was just rushing back to the river.
"That was impressive." Ember said as she noticed the trees around them weren't burning although charred.
"Very Impressive." Came a voice only to Todd, one that echoed in his mind. The voice was soft and kind yet it sounded as if two females were speaking at the same time. Two different pitches, one childish and one matured.
Ember and Mara both worked to try and help with the growing fire. Mara had taken her trench coat off and used it as a water holder as she went back and forth from the river to the trees. with out any metal around, Mara's powers were all but useless. Ember on the other hand was kicking dirt up onto the flames. Putting the out were shi could. Hir gloves and paw-boots seemed like they could withstand most of the heat.
"Get up Todd Virgil. We will help you." came the voice again. only this time, an energy filled the druid. The energy felt as if he was completely in tune with the forest around him. The trees, the animals, the river, even the rocks all spoke in whispers of energy. All speaking to the druid. The places that were burning screamed to Todd, begged for his help.

Sigmund tore down the street, darting after the ‘tail end’ of Ember. When she arrived at the forest her expression turned grim. Instead of continuing on and following on foot, she whipped off her top hat, grasped Dog, plopped him inside, and placed it securely upon the ground.
“Stay Dog, wait until I return.” The little creature made a concerned sounding chirp, but once he was told to stay he remained in the confines of her scarlet hat. Sigmund gave a small smile and took off running again however this time as she ran she began to leap almost like a deer would. Each jump would become higher, and higher until her feet were barely touching the ground. With one finally jump her lower wings spread apart, she caught the wind, and ascended into the air. The heat from the fire was intense, and from her position, she was having a difficult time staying stable. Each draft of warm air would push her higher then she wished and Sigmund had to flap her wings harder to reposition herself. Gritting her teeth, she tried to remind herself that she had flown before in plated armor, this was nothing, she was daughter of Odin!
Once over the fire, she could see areas which Todd, Mara, and Ember were working on. The higher level spells of the clerics were not available to her, so she was unable to summon large waves or even sharks made from water to attack the flames…whatever animal that was. However, she was able to perform simple water spells. “Odin, grant me your strength, Create Water!” With that a ball of water began to form from the air it hovered above her open palm and began to swell and swirl. From its size she could guess she had created about a few gallons (ten to be exact). Instead of dumping it on one tree, she tried to fly about dispersing the water like rain. Once the water was depleted she shouted, “Create Water!” once more and the ball of water began to form as it did previously. She did this once again, seeing that it was having some effect against the fire, and once more created water. Sigmund knew it was only a matter of time before she could not the do the spell again, maybe she could request Odin that she would give up her higher level spells for some additional ‘create water’, but she was risking losing her healing spells if she were to do that.

((Sorry did not want to hit everyone with a wall of text, so I broke it up a bit, I'll try to cut it down and not post so much in the future >_<))
Not being able to move as fast as he was had was grinding against Cantar’s will. He was grateful for the chance to have a guide, even more so for the fact that his song brother knew the area. However, he had been so independent during his travels that being forced to slow down was agonizing. While they were briskly trying to get to the fire, Cantar had handed Errol his coat, the outside was an oil cloak but the inside was crafted from fire salamander skin. He did not want to disturb the fish like creature by explaining what it was made from; instead he just stated it would protect him from the flames. In fact Cantar had had it crafted especially for him self because, every time he sneezed his skin heated up and burned away the cloth. Cantar had learned the hard way that it was very embarrassing to have your clothes catch fire, burn away, and be standing bare-bottomed in the middle of town. His pants were also crafted from the material, just incase he lost his coat.
When they arrived and started to walk towards the fire, Cantar opted to walk in front of Errol he would shield the fish like bard from the fire as best he could. He had dumped water upon his crutches, he did not want them to catch fire and be reduced to crawling upon the forest floor. When they arrived to where the others were, Cantar paused for a moment. Strange thing was, instead of feeling disturbed and frightened he felt invigorated. The fire was alive, it breathed and devoured like a living creature. He could feel its desire to feed itself, consume all in its path. Shaking his head he brought himself back into focus, what in the name's of the gods was wrong with him? He held his hand out trying to concentrate on the two women that were rushing back and forth. Opening his mouth he began to sing in soft tenor tone.
“May you feel no pain, may your strength return, bring back what was lost and restore. Refreshment!” At that moment Ember and Mara would feel an energy spiral about them, if they allowed it the spell would return back all the energy they expended as if they had rested and had a good nights sleep.
Cantar then turned his attention to the fire; from where he was standing he placed his hand against a burning tree. The fire tried to attack his flesh however; it only caressed the skin like soft silk. The fire actually retreated a bit, almost as if it was wary of the man. When he opened his lips, he spoke in a strange language, Ignan... the tongue of flame. "Stop your destruction, begone with you or I will consume you instead!" the fire jumped a bit as if angry at him, but after a moment the flames that licked the tree became smaller and smaller until it extinguished itself and only the charred tree was left standing. He moved to the another tree, growling the same threat, and the fire shrunk back. This was taxing, though it was effective the flame could only be imitated so much before it would refuse to listen to him... he could already feel his will power being tested, Cantar hoped he could muscle a few more fires from burning...

Re: Quest: Fire Moths 1
Emberstorm hardly noticed her energy returning, shi was a bit to focused on putting the fires out. Hir trek back and forth form river to forest was the only thing on hir mind. The chakat would only notice Mara with a concerned glance every now and then, making sure the spotted elf was okay.
Mara on the other hand felt her energy returning and stopped to see if she could tell where is was coming from. With the smoke from the flames she couldn't make out anything beyond the trees around her. Even Ember's red fur blended with the surrounding inferno. With a shrug she went back to work, making note to thank whoever helped her later. She would need to thank them, for they helped more than just her, if she would have exhausted herself, who knows what could have happened.
A strange energy engulfed Sigmund, it slithered and twisted around her body. Bringing new strength and power to the Valkyrie. The water spells she had been casting gave more and more water each time.
"Fly strong." Came an echoing voice in her mind, the voice was doubled as if a grown woman and a little child were speaking at the same time.
the same strange energy would slither and twist it's way around the Sun elf, as if a snake was crawling through him. Feeding power into his whispering and running strength in his body.
"Determination Elf." Echoed the voice through his head.

((Sorry about the long pause, I was waiting for attention to drum up, and I forgot to check back in. XD I'll be more vigilant, and I have some new arts to post here! Yay for storylines!))
He had used a major spell to raise the water up to put out some of the worse fire, but there was still one good chunk of fire remaining. He noticed the others helping, and nodded his thanks, but something overtook him. He grabbed at his head a little, hearing the voices, " Whose there...? Wh-Who are you? " But there was no answer, he just felt his desperation get stronger, nature had been his ally his whole life, and he needed to protect her right back now.
Sliding his feet in to a strong stance, he looked determined in the face of heat, glaring at it, " I will not let you hurt her anymore! You hear me! " He copied his earlier action, swaying heavily with the water, soon Mara would not have to run for the water, because she was coming to her. The water lapped at her boots at first, before full force rushing passed her, coming up to her knees as it rushed by. Emberstorm would soon feel the cool water lapping at her feet as it rushed by to get to the fire. Sigmund would see as the water had a life of it's own, rushing from the river bed to run along the ground like a herd of animals, trying to put out the fire. Cantar was close enough to feel it rushing through his legs, hungrily crawling it's way. Errol would squeal with delight as he felt the water touch his skin, cooling him for a moment before it left.
Todd was swaying, before he held his hands up, beads of sweat forming along his brow, strain visible in his muscles as he shakily pulled his arms in to the air, like he was holding the weight of the world. In response, the water stopped behind him, and created a tsunami effect, rising in to a gigantic wave behind him almost fifteen feet in the air. It steadily grew, and slowly his knees began to fold, he fell on one knee, arms still holding position, and he screamed, arms swooping forward heavily. The wave arced in to the air, crashing like thunder on top of the forest floor, putting out the remainder of the fire, but taking his limp body with the swell. The water successfully killed any Embers left on the ground.
As the water swelled, and hungrily ate the fire, it began to dissipate, and Todd's body was no where to be seen. After a moment, only mud, and puddles remained, coating the trees in a layer of sludge. Somewhere in the wreckage laid Todd, panting heavily on the ground, completely covered in mud. He raised a hand slowly, shakily, seeing if anyone would find him.
Errol took the man's coat happily, he was in a lot of pain, the fire was so hot, that he couldn't get too close without whimpering, " A man made of silk can only watch and pray, if he has any hope of seeing the light of another day. " Whimpered the Bard like fish humanoid. He shrinked every time Cantar would take on the fire, he was afraid of getting eaten up by the angry flames, as the water rushed along the ground, he squealed happily, " The man of nature does not fail to surprise me, his power is great and strong like that of an oak tree. " As the wave crashed on top of Todd, he looked worriedly around, " The man of nature is gone from sight! " He rushed forward in to the water as it swept away, looking about, he cried, " The forest is safe, but now it is he who I hope is alright! " He looked warily at the rest of those around him, he couldn't see really well, and he hoped the others would find him.

Re: Quest: Fire Moths 1
((Cut down again because I am the derp, Cantar's part below this post))
Sigmund breathed heavily, even for a Valkyrie magical warfare drained a lot of energy. The voices echoed in her head, and she looked about trying to find the source. However, when she felt the surge of power she spoke out loud, mainly uncertain if the voice could even hear her. “I doubt you are a force of evil whoever you may be. So I thank you, and accept this gift. I hope to repay you in some sort of fashion; a daughter of Odin never forgets an act of kindness.”
Her mechanical her pounded, and she gritted her teeth… not a good sign, but when was the outcome of a battle ever good? “Odin!” she called into the sky, “Your faithful daughter asks of you, allow me to prevail so I may serve you for another day!” With one final plea she cried, “Create Water!” the water formed from the air with the added energy given to her, the ball of water swelled and gurgled growing larger then she could possibly imagine. Her arms began to quiver, her wings flapped furiously the shear weight of the water was crippling. It pushed against her, and with the bit of energy granted to her she tossed it as high as she could into the air. The ball of water flew a few feet before it started to descend, and plummet right toward her. Sigmund was spent, she had no more… no more… yet she reached into her bag and pulled out what looked like a large arrow head with a small iron rod attached, she grasped the end and whipped it to the side. A clicking noise was heard and she was holding a large spear.
She threw her spear into the air and as it sunk into the mass of water she screamed, “Judgment, bring your lightening!” The spear crackled with electricity, and sparked breaking the water into droplets. It fell upon the trees putting out and drenching many of the tree tops. Sighing Sigmund began to descend, she weakly managed to make it to the earth, before sinking into the mud and collapsing. She lay on her back feeling the cool droplets hit her face, 'Judgement' clattered beside her it's point stuck in the muck, but too spent to even move.

Re: Quest: Fire Moths 1
((Part two, Sigmund's part above, sorry for the wall of text...again. >_<))
Cantar felt the water hit him from Todd’s spell and he almost fell over. The mud was making it hard for him to even stand as he hobbled about. Yet the cool water made his skin sizzle, steam wafted from his skin like his body was way too hot. However, when the final swell of water from Todd rushed by… he slipped crashing to the earth with a splat. Cantar managed to hold on to one of crutches, the other was some where coated with gunk. It was all so frustrating! The fire might not kill him, but the guilt of not being able to help sure would. Yet, the voice encouraged him enveloped the bard with its power. Determination.
But how? What could he even do? The remaining flames that he could see were still eating at the trees, not at the bottoms thanks to Todd, and many were put out from the tops because of Sigmund. ‘Harbor the flame… you are to burn… you will endure it, become it and devour.’ Cantar’s eyes widened… devour? The given energy surged about him making his already warm body burn, waves of heat lifted from his skin. Devour… Cantar he could see the heat, the flames, the waves of energy, and more importantly… how it breathed. He inhaled, and shakily exhaled, again he tried this and the flames started to pull towards him. Again he tried and they moved closer, with one final intake the flames from around him were drawn up moving in a line gathering in the palm of his hand, they spiraled and compressed into the size of a golf ball, glowing a dangerous white color. Tipping his head back, he dropped the compressed flame into his mouth, and swallowed.
Gasping smoke exited his mouth, he grasped at his chest, feeling the fire disperse and try to ravage his body. Harbor the flame…you are to burn. Closing his eyes, he tried to use the energy given to him to calm the fire tearing inside him, please… he could not die… his wife, his children, not ye- It was gone. Blinking, Cantar felt his heartbeat slow, the fire still ran inside him, but it was suppressed. All that energy he was granted must had helped him. But how? Looking about he saw that his ‘little’ stunt had put out a large portion of the fire. Only a few scattered fires remained because of Todd’s, Sigmund’s, Mara’s, Ember’s, and his effort. He glanced at Errol, hearing his last few words.
“W-what?” he asked his skin was still steaming a bit, small puffs of smoke exited his mouth when he spoke, however, his eyes were burning with reds, golds, and oranges, the colors of flames. Weird, the smoke was not bothering his vision. He grasped his crutch, messily clamoring up after a few failed attempts. “HEY!” he called and looked about, he could faintly remember where the water rushed from, and maybe that man who created it got swept up with it. “HEY! Anyone alive?” He was close to Todd actually, but could not pinpoint his location, a sign or anything would suffice to grab his attention.

Re: Quest: Fire Moths 1
Mara gasped as the rushing water crawled up to her knees, cold and yet comforting from the heat of the fire around them. She looked around to see Todd wielding the water as she could wield metal. Water was more resilient and wild than metal was, and she had to admire Todd's strength. The spotted elf took her trench coat, which she had been using as a sort of water carrier, and shook what water she could off it before putting it back on. She waded her way to Emberstorm whom was just in shock to see the wave.
Ember had never seen such power before, shi was a simple powerless Chakat pilot. Power over nature or anything was amazing to hir. Even watching Mara work with metal like she did, fascinated the Chakat. Hir eyes were wide and shi jumped a little when Mara placed a hand on hir second shoulder next to hir hip. It wasn't until the wave was released and Ember watched Todd get wisped away did shi realize he could be in danger. Shi waited for the water to die down a bit then raced through the mud to find the druid. "Todd!" Shi called, for him searching.
Mara had noticed Sigmund in the sky before the wave was released, and she watched as the Valkyrie threw an interesting spear at a floating ball of water. the spear's light show perked her curiosity, it wasn't until the spear landed that she noticed Sigmund on the ground. Without thinking she made a bee-line for the fallen woman. Rushing to her side and crouching down, "Are you alright?!" She asked hoping to get some kind of answer.
Ember had heard the calls of Cantar while shi searched for Todd, and made her way to the one-legged elf. Shi instinctively swung his arm over hir shoulder on the opposite side of his crutch and let him brace himself on hir. "Are you alright Sir? Have you seen Todd?" shi asked still looking around. It didn't matter that they hardly knew each other, right now everyone needed to be checked on and helped. Shi even spotted the fish-like man and waved him over to help hir with Cantar.

Sigmund turned her head to the side, mud clung to her clothing and a few bits speckled upon her glasses. Her wings were caked in that gunk, as was her sea foam curls. However, it was better then being caked in blood, that’s for sure. She smiled softly despite her tiredness. “Yes, dear… just a bit tuckered out from the magic. I’m not used to performing creation spells in combat. I had to ‘give up’ some of my higher level ones in order to keep creating water.” She paused for a moment, rolling a bit till she was at a sitting position in front of Mara. She reached over and plucked Judgment from the mud. Clumsily she fiddled with the weapon before pressing in a small metal button and the long spear’s handle retracted. Now she was only holding the pointed tip and a small five inch rod, instead of the long five foot pole. “Healing, and physical combat is more of my forte. I thank Odin that you made it, are you injured? Where is Ember Chauukat and Sir Virgil?”
As Ember went to give him support, Cantar leaned against hir for a second before his eyes widened and he screeched, “No don’t touch me!” and pushed away wrenching from hir grip. He was a bit muddy and hoped his outburst would startle hir so shi would let go. He would push backwards falling back into the mud, Cantar was breathing heavily looking at the spot where his fingers had touched hir shoulder. If Ember was to look shi would notice that a small patch of fur were his skin touched would be slightly singed, luckily the heat from his skin had not traveled any further and Ember was not burnt, he would feel horrible if he done so. Realizing how crazy he looked Cantar looked at Ember with an apologetic glance. “I’m sorry, I-I didn’t mean to yell, it’s just my body is still a bit… volatile from all the fire. I didn’t want to burn you.” He held up his arm for hir inspection, and his skin was indeed steaming, at that moment his forearm took that opportunity to burst into flames. As if the inner fire wanted to prove itself.
The sleeve of his shirt was immediately gulped down by the flames, yet his skin was not blistering or boiling. Cantar gave a surprised yelp, and started smacking at his arm with his free hand, trying to extinguish the flames. After a few swats the fire quelled and retreated back under his skin, yet Cantar’s sleeve was no more. “I think I ingested a bit more then I could chew.” He replied trying to make light of the awkward moment. “But other than that I’m fine, thank you Miss. I’m glad that the fire did not claim your life.” when shi spoke about Todd he frowned looking about, “The druid? I think I saw him. Just give me a moment, I’ll cool down and can lean against you without burning you, and help or better yet…” He looked hir over, “Would you be opposed to a bit of tracking magic?” Cantar smiled, and held out his hand, his fingers splayed in front of hir he began to sing in the tone of a tenor, “Scrying is a pain, and crystals are a bore, we’d rather see with our eyes, so open our gaze a bit more. Circle Dance!”
With that word, Ember’s gaze would go a bit fuzzy if shi was to blink a bit the spell would take effect and her vision would clear. Everything looked the same however, Cantar seemed to have a red glow about him. The glow shifted from red, orange, and gold like the color of flames, while Errol would have whitish blue radiating from his skin. If she would look at her body she would notice she too had a soft glow. “It will help you see his aura, and point you in the right direction just picture him and you will find him. I figure it would be more useful to look for a glowing person, it will also tell you what type of condition he is in. It will wear off in about two hours, don’t worry.” he smiled but his tone sounded sad, "I wish I could be of more help."

Re: Quest: Fire Moths 1
Mara's eye watched the metal spear as Sigmund fiddled with it. Her spark of interest was not easily missed, but she refrained from any questions about the weapon for the moment. The spotted elf offered a hand to the Valkyrie while she stood up, and smiled. "Naaahhh, I'm fine. And don't you worry about Red, shi can handle hirself." She winked at the fallen Valkyrie. "You took quit a fall Siggy, You sure you're okay?" Mara's trench coat was covered in mud as was most of her body was, making the long coat droopy and heavy. With it wet it hugged her form emphasizing some aspects of her body.
Ember was startled a bit when Cantar yelled and pushed away from hir, shi let go in hir fright. Feeling horrible for letting him fall, the Chakat went to help him back up, only to notice the singed fur on hir shoulder. Shi straightened hirself and as Cantar's arm lit itself, "Guess I'll just have to be more careful then." Shi smiled at the Sun Elf, hir sharp canines showing clean against hir now dirty muzzle. Shi wasn't as bothered by his flammable body as he was. As Cantar cast his spell Ember blinked the fuzziness away and stepped back a bit as the flamed aura of Cantar's body seemed to reach for hir like the fires they just extinguished did. "Is this how mages see things?" Shi asked as shi looked around. Hir new sight spotted Sigmund and Amarah a few yards away, but Amarah's aura caught hir interest the most. The Spotted elf had a dark blue aura surrounding her but the aura seemed to be changing color around her abdominal area. Upon closer inspection Ember saw that Sigmund's aura was also overlapping Mara's as they were close to each other and shi shrugged it off as that. But something in the back of Ember's mind said something was a bit off, shi would have to find out later though.
The Chakat's bright blue orbs scanned the area at least twice before shi noticed a faint glow coming from a pile of mud. Almost immediately shi raced over to the glowing mud and began searching through it. Shi uncovered a face and a shoulder, only to realize it was Todd. This looked like an elven child with long pointed ears and slanted eyes. "Amarah!!! We have a problem!" Shi called for hir friend.
Mara turned at the sound of Ember's voice. "Red?" She said softly then looked at Sigmund. "Think you can walk? Red needs our help." Mara would place Sigmund's arm over her should to support her and head towards Ember and the newly found child.
The red chakat was laying in the mud with the child's torso in hir arms frantically trying to wake the child. Shi uncovered it's chest and placed an ear to it, luckily there was a heart beat, but it was faint. Ember was so worried about waking the child shi didn't notice the snake tail that was the rest of the child's body from it's waist down.
((sorry i'm so late with this, Dont worry we'll will save Todd after Ember can pass the naga child off to Mara and Sigmund! ))

Re: Quest: Fire Moths 1
Sigmund took the hand that was offered to her with a small smile, and leaned upon the smaller woman. It was quite odd to do so, since she was around six feet tall. Yet, she was not one to shrug off help when it was given to her. Her lips twitched a bit when she heard the name ‘Siggy’. One of her companions had called her that before… the valkyrie wondered for a brief moment if Tanner was doing alright with her group. The girl had always been a bit on the odd side, yet she was sweet none the less. “I’m quite alright deary, I have fallen from the sky in full plate before. If that didn’t kill me, I am not sure what will.” ‘Probably my heart’ she thought bitterly for a moment.
Cantar watched as Ember looked about with her new vision and chuckled. He enjoyed sharing magic with others; it actually made him feel a bit better. People who hoarded their magical talents for personal gain were peculiar to him. Cantar could not understand why they would want to do so, magic practically demanded to be shared. His skin would crawl with tension if he did not perform one spell a day… maybe two. He could do nothing but watch as Ember darted away and heard her shout for someone named ‘Amarah’.
Sigmund nodded as Amarah asked if she could walk. She leaned upon the smaller woman and dutifully trudged along. A cleric’s work was never done apparently. The two would pass by Cantar and Errol.
Cantar gave a pained smile from his position in the muck, and pointed in the direction that Ember had torn off towards. His other hand griped his solo crutch so hard that his knuckles were turning white. The bard hated feeling like this, despite providing a generous amount of help he still wished he could do more. After pointing he rubbed at his stump of a leg, it still pained him, damn… when was this going to stop?
As the two arrived Sigmund’s eyes went wide. Her gaze was focused on the child’s long serpent-like body/tail. For moment she was silent then her lips curled into a sneer. This child was a Yuan-ti, a race of traitorous snakes that her people had battled for years. However, her sneer dissipated when she noticed that it did not have the full look of one. In fact, the longer she stared the longer she began to realize this child was not a part or the Yuan-ti race. Curious… what was this child? She was not one to deny help when needed; a quick ‘detect evil’ spell revealed that the child was not. She knelled down next to Ember, “Allow me please…” she placed her hands over the child’s chest and murmured. “Delay Death” her fingers glowed a white light and after a few moments after doing so, the child would seem to stabilize, his breathing became a bit stronger. “The smoke must have taken its toll upon him. I will do what I can with the potions I have.” She clamored about her pack for a moment before taking out a few healing potions. Sigmund would hand a few to Ember, “Here… just in case you need them.” The other few she began to uncork, and pulling the muddy child upon her lap she gently coaxed open the child’s mouth. She slipped upon some medical gloves from her pack, and dipped her fingers in the potion. At first she dabbed some under the child’s tongue and along the child’s gums. Then she began to pour small amounts into his mouth and rubbed gently at his throat to coax his to shallow. It was a slow process but it seemed to be working.
Suddenly she picked up her head and looked worriedly at Ember. “Where is Sir Virgil?”

Re: Quest: Fire Moths 1
Amarah grinned at the taller woman as she support. "Full plate? I bet that was exhilarating!" When Sigmund fully leaned on her, a small faint static pulled from the Valkyrie's mechanic heart. Nothing to noticeable by Sigmund, but for the metallic magic Mara possessed it was an intriguing discovery. They got to Ember before the little elf could say anything, and she decided to save questions for later. Her rose colored eyes looked over the snake child. To muddy and dirty to see how long the child's tail actually was, and it was just that a child. One could only guess as to it's gender. Mara partially wondered if it would turn out to be like Ember and have both genders. She watched with increased interest in the way Sigmund worked, half wondering how the Valkyrie managed do anything. With the energy she felt from the machine she could tell it was fading. As tempting as it was to try and feed the metal some of her energy, she wasn't sure what it would do to Sigmund. So with a sigh she just watched in silence.
The child coughed and hissed a bit as that was a normal sound for her kind. Sigmund would notice the child's forked tongue and sharp fangs as she applied the medicine. Uncover more muck and everyone would see the five dull horns that lined the middle of the snake child's head, and the extra limbs that protruded from the middle of it's back. The extra limbs looked a lot like featherless wings only instead of leathery membranes between the two fingers, there hung a feathery type of fur almost like extremely soft hair. Although it was wet and clumped together with the mud. The tip of the child's tail began to twitch as it stirred, still unconscious, but alive.
Ember passed the child over as soon as Sigmund came, the chakat knew shi was no healer so Sigmund had the best chance with helping. Shi also watched in silence as Sigmund worked, having to shift hir weight every now and then so shi didn't sink in the mud. Hir strawberry blond hair hung straight around hir shoulders from the wave earlier, and hir fur dripped and was caked in mud. Ember's ears perked as soon as Sigmund mentioned Todd, shi lifted hir head and looked around them. Nothing, only the aura's of the group, Cantar and Errol were visible. So to get a better look, Ember lifted hir front paw-hands off the ground and sat up straightening hir spine and using hir long tail as a counter balance. With this stance the Chakat stood about 11ft tall, and if Sigmund would look up she would discover the true nature of Ember's gender. Having fur and being animalistic, Ember never wore anything to cover hir lower parts, only a vest to cover hir chest.
With this new perspective Emberstorm scanned the area, looking beyond the group on all sides. Suddenly she spotted it, another faintly glowing mound. With what looked like a stick sticking up from it. Ember carefully lowered hirself and placed all four paws on the ground. Shi turned hirself in the direction of the mound and again was off before anyone could say anything. Coming to the mound shi began to dig through the mud, finding that the 'stick' was Todd's arm. Shi grabbed his hand and pulled him out of the mud. The druid looked unconscious, and with no one else around, Ember pulled him over hir back saddle style. Wrapping his arms around hir neck to where his hands dangle over hir chest holding him in place as shi made hir way back to the group.
